Product Description
A hydrothermal reactor, or hydrothermal synthesis autoclave, is a specialized, sealed, and pressure-resistant reaction vessel designed for carrying out chemical reactions, such as synthesis, crystal growth, or sample digestion, by using aqueous solvents at high temperatures and pressures. They are extensively used to dissolve materials that are usually insoluble under normal conditions by employing strong acids, bases, or water in a sealed environment.
Applications
● Nanomaterial Synthesis: Creating nanoparticles, nanotubes, and nanowires with high reproducibility for nanotechnology applications.
● Sample Digestion: A "powerful assistant" used for digesting insoluble samples during pre-treatment in atomic absorption spectroscopy and plasma emission analysis.
● Crystal Growth: Culturing crystals from inorganic or organic compounds by managing temperature gradients and supersaturation.
● Materials Chemistry: Producing advanced functional materials like zeolites, catalysts, and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
