Product Description
An Inconel Reactor is a specialized chemical pressure vessel constructed from high performance, nickel-chromium-based superalloys, commonly Inconel 600 or Inconel 625. They are designed to withstand extreme temperatures, pressures, and highly corrosive environments, preventing material failure where stainless steel would degrade.
Applications
● Supercritical Water Oxidation (SCWO)
● Hydrochloric Acid Processes, high-temperature HCl gas or concentrated acid.
● High-Temperature Fluorination
● Extreme-Pressure Hydrogenation
● Concentrated Phosphoric & Sulfuric Acid
Advantage
● Extreme Heat Resistance Maintains strength up to ~1000°C (1832°F). Stainless steel softens above ~800°C.
● Oxidation Resistance Forms a stable, adherent oxide scale that prevents burn-up in hot, corrosive gases.
● Chloride & Acid Resistance Survives hydrochloric, sulfuric, and phosphoric acids at high temperatures. It handles chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking (which destroys stainless steel) and retains strength
● Creep & Fatigue Strength Resists gradual deformation under constant stress and cyclic loading.
● High Pressure Capability Often rated for >300 bar (4350 psi) at elevated temperatures.
