Product Description
A Hastelloy Reactor is a specialized pressure vessel made from Hastelloy, a high-performance nickel-based alloys. Unlike stainless steel reactors, which can quickly corrode in harsh conditions, Hastelloy reactors are specifically designed for the most aggressive chemical environments, like strong acids hydrochloric or sulfuric acid.
These reactors are available in a variety of designs, including jacketed vessels for heating/cooling and configurations with agitators to ensure proper mixing.
Reactor tank volume range from 0.5L~20000L, pressure from -0.1MPa to 40MPa, Temperature from -196~500C
Different Hastelloy Grades
Hastelloy C-276: The most widely used one. It offers broad resistance to both oxidizing and reducing chemicals, making it suitable for a huge variety of applications.
Hastelloy C-22: Offers even greater resistance to oxidizing chemicals and provides superior protection against pitting.
Hastelloy B-3: Specifically designed for environments with pure hydrochloric acid and reducing conditions.
Applications
● Chemical Processing: Handles the mixing of highly corrosive substances in the production of agrochemicals and specialty chemicals.
● Petrochemical: Used in severe processes like hydrogenation, hydrotreating, and handling sour gas H2S.
● Laboratory R&D and Pilot Scale: Small-scale Hastelloy reactors are used to develop reactions involving corrosive materials under high pressure and temperature.
