We Fabricated a Solid Gas Fixed Bed Reactor for Our Indonesia End User
Release time:
Aug 10,2026
Source:
The specifications provided are applicable to the polymerization reaction of gas-phase polyethylene (LLDPE) with traditional Ziegler Natta catalysts (MgCl2, TiCl4, TEAL) on a laboratory scale.
Our customer are planning to reduce the existing industrial UNIPOL polymerization process that uses gas-phase reactants.
The reactants (ethylene, comonomers, hydrogen, etc.) are in gaseous form (compressed to the specific reaction conditions mentioned earlier). So they ask us to design a special made Fixed Bed Reactor.
The raw materials are highly flammable, so additional safety precautions must be taken in the design, all electric sensors are ex-proof style, or with ex-proof protection boxes.
Catalysts and co catalysts (Ziegler Natta) are in the form of suspensions (solid particles dispersed in solution) that need to be intermittently injected and sprayed into the reactor.
The reaction is exothermic, so the reactor requires a cooling jacket.
The control of gas flow rate, pressure, and temperature is crucial, therefore suitable instruments need to be installed, as well as PLC controller to achieve accurate control and data interchange with computer.
